Hi, my name is Hannah! I am so glad you came to visit my blog. My friends and family are the inspiration behind my recipes. Here you will find a great mix of tasty dishes as well as plant-based alternatives. My passion for baking all started with a cookie, or more specifically, a chocolate chip cookie. I can still remember opening the front door after a long day of school to the sweet aroma of caramelized brown sugar, ooey-gooey melted chocolate, and warm vanilla. Although my mom was not much of a baker, she was known for her chocolate chip cookies. They always had the perfect amount of crunch and chew along with extra chocolate chips for some much loved chocolate decadence. As a little girl, I always enjoyed helping my mom in the kitchen as well as sampling any of the rejects. My Grandad, however, would argue I danced more than helped, hence the nickname Twinkle Toes. From chocolate chip cookies, my culinary interest grew into cooking after watching my grandmas and their sisters cook. I loved seeing how much care went into their dishes and the enjoyment it brought the entire family. In addition to a few Polish swear words, my grandmas taught me that every recipe has a story and those stories are just as important as the ingredients. I want to share my favorite family recipes as well as the stories behind them. I was lucky enough to learn a great mix of Italian, Polish, and Irish cuisines. Some of my favorites include my Gammy’s Chicken noodle soup, Aunt Betty’s famous Polish nut roll, Gram’s corn beef stew, and so many more. Outside the kitchen, I enjoy being out in nature, whether that’s running, hiking, kayaking, or just reading a good book on the back porch. You will also find a mix of healthier trail runner recipes as I call them to help power you through whatever sport or adventure. Hope you enjoy whisking as well as dancing in the kitchen with these recipes!
